Landscape News: A Retirement and a Sharpened Focus

Today we would like to share some Stutzman Services family news with you. After a long and very successful career, Bill Marshall, our Landscape Designer and Construction Manager, has announced his retirement.

We are so proud of the positive impact Bill has made during his 25+ years with Stutzman Services. Thanks to his designs—and hard work by teams of talented craftsmen—thousands of Willamette Valley acres have been transformed into attractive outdoor living spaces.

Along with hundreds of private residences, his landscapes can also be found in publicly-accessible areas like Mallard Creek Golf Course, Albany Public Library (Carnegie Branch), and Samaritan’s Pastega Regional Cancer Center in Corvallis and Evergreen Hospice House in Albany.

So what’s next for landscape at Stutzman Services?

First, we will continue to offer landscape design services until Bill’s retirement on October 31, 2020. So if you’ve always dreamed of a custom, professionally-designed landscape, this is your chance to get a detailed set of plans! They will be yours to keep or take to any company that performs landscape construction or installation.

Going forward, we will no longer offer landscape construction and instead narrow our focus for landscape-related work onto maintenance, irrigation service and backflow testing. This adjustment will also enable us to direct even more resources toward our water-related services: plumbing, well pump service and water treatment.

Why this shift? Since our founding in 1966, we have specialized in top-notch customer service (or as we like to call it: Delivering Excellence). So we are sharpening our focus onto areas of work that strengthen and align with and that legacy of service. Thank you for trusting Stutzman Services with your landscape and water management needs!
