Traveling Exhibit Includes Landscape Designer's Art

One of our very own Landscape Designers, Bill Marshall, has been chosen to contribute artwork to a traveling exhibit that features the state's official animal: the beaver. Sponsored by the Wetlands Conservancy, the exhibit is entitled "Beaver Tales" and includes art from more than 100 artists using a variety of mediums. Bill has three pencil drawings in the show which are inspired by beaver habitats he has encountered while spending time in Oregon's outdoors.

The show celebrates the relationship between the arts and science and will travel to six different Oregon cities throughout the year, beginning (appropriately) on the OSU campus. You are invited to the exhibit's kick-off and reception on Thursday, February 9 at the Giustina Gallery at the LaSells Stewart Center. Beaver-themed scientific and historic presentations will run from 5:00 to 6:30 pm and be followed by an artists reception from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public. More information can be found at the OSU Spark website.
